With a Metro area population of approximately 483,000, the Utah County economy has been able to maintain stability due mainly to its job growth. Recently Forbes.com rated Provo with the highest employment growth (5.5 percent) (5-year annualized job growth of 4.2 percent) the highest in the United States. While the rest of the country continues to struggle, Utah County just keeps plugging along.
